I received a Master of Fine Arts in Media, Technology, and Entertainment from Florida Atlantic University. Specializing in immersive and interactive media, I engaged in coursework that covered various subjects such as interactive media, film production, art history, 3D production, and others. As a graduate student assistant, I worked for the School of Communication and Multimedia Studies, assisting the department in website content development and social media. I instructed an advanced undergraduate course named "New Media Narratives," encompassing various new media forms, including podcasts, newsletters, blogs, and more. I also assisted in grading assignments for the "Film Theory" course.
3D VIDEO GAME DESIGN
In this course, I learned the basics of 3D video game design and development and how to produce 3D media assets for interactive simulations and serious games. I designed a Tank game as well as another game on Unity game engine that incorporated shooter, platformer, and role-playing mechanics. The course included discussions of other concepts and principles of game development such as player-centric design frameworks like MDA (Mechanics, Dynamics, Aesthetics) and flow theory. Elements of a video game such as- collision detection, terrain sculpting, game object modeling, GUI-HUD design, audio editing, scene lighting, using first-person and third-person controllers, character development, real-time particle effects, UV texturing and normal maps, were also discussed in class.
